Hi, I'm Dev, a young physicist based in Singapore
Who wouldn't want a career where overthinking is a job requirement? NQSS Master's Scholar pursuing an MSc by Research at Nanyang Technological University, currently deep in quantum information, with a soft spot for taking quantum gates apart.
More About Dev Verma

Hi, I'm Dev: a chill philosopher, aspiring polymath, and a physicist-in-the-making. When I'm not pondering the mysteries of the universe, I'm probably getting absolutely demolished in Catan by my best friend (despite my undeniable strategic genius).
I'm currently pursuing my MSc by Research in Physics at Nanyang Technological University as Singapore's NQSS (National Quantum Scholarship Scheme) Scholar, with a particular fascination for quantum computing, gate decomposition, and whatever lies beyond the Standard Model (dark matter, I'm looking at you). My ultimate goal? To do meaningful work in physics, whether that means helping build the next big thing in quantum tech or unlocking some fundamental truths about the universe.
Beyond physics, I take inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci, striving to explore everything that catches my eye. You might find me unleashing sacrifices on the chessboard, losing myself in stoic philosophy, or storyboarding ideas for a film I'll maybe direct one day. I also occasionally write longer, structured pieces about my thoughts and projects on my blog.
Richard Feynman once said, "I was born not knowing, and have had only a little time to change that here and there." That pretty much sums up my approach to life: always learning, always exploring, and maybe, just maybe, changing my corner of the world for the better while I'm at it.
